Census Records of Pike County

Pike County was established in 1818 and Bowling Green was designated as the county seat in 1824. At the time, Missouri was a territory, not yet a state (not until 1821). The first U.S. census to include Pike County, Missouri, was in 1830-1950.   Missouri began taking state censuses in 1840-1876.   The county was primarily settled by migrants from Kentucky and Virginia.
